Engagement and citizenship in long-term care: An exploration of resident and family councils

Resident and family councils have been part of long-term care homes across Canada for decades. These forums provide a potential platform for people living in long-term care and their families to have a say in matters that affect their lives. But the work councils do remains largely invisible.  LTC Council

This study is a two-year project focused on better understanding how these councils work, what it takes for them to influence change, and the policies and practices that support and constrain their efforts. We want to know if their voices are being heard—and listened to—and how they can be amplified.
